Law Firm To Sponsor Free Holiday Movie 2016
December 1st, 2016
KINGSTON, Pa. – The law firm of HKQ Law will sponsor a free holiday showing of the popular animated children’s movie, “Finding Dory,” on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Wilkes-Barre. It is the eighth year in a row that the law firm, headquartered in Kingston with offices in Scranton, has sponsored a free holiday movie at the Kirby Center. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 2 p.m. Every child will receive a free drink and popcorn, and will receive a free Crayola Sonic Shimmer Dry Erase Board as a gift. The movie is open to all families with children under 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Seating will be limited to the first 1,800 people on a first-come, first-served basis. “It gives us so much joy to be able to bring smiles to the faces of children from our community during the holidays,” said Attorney Joe Quinn, a senior principal at the law firm. “It’s an annual tradition that everyone at our law firm truly enjoys.”
A sequel to the 2003 “Finding Nemo,” this movie picks up on-screen six months after, as Dory joins Nemo on a class trip to watch manta rays migrate home. Dory begins to feel homesick, and decides to find her humble origins. Nemo convinces Marlin to allow Dory on her trek across the ocean from the Great Barrier Reef to California to try and learn about her past, as well as find her parents. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save her Mom and Dad from captivity. The quest to find "home" powers the story. Parents will find character voices familiar as Ellen DeGeneres, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy provide their talents to this heartwarming tale of family love.
