Law Firm To Sponsor Free Holiday Movie, Disney’s “Moana,” at Kirby Center
November 24th, 2017
KINGSTON, Pa. – The law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn will sponsor a free holiday showing of the popular animated children’s movie, Disney’s “Moana,” on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Wilkes-Barre. It is the ninth year in a row that the law firm, headquartered in Kingston with offices in Scranton, has sponsored a free holiday movie at the Kirby Center. Doors will open at noon and the movie will start at 2 p.m. Every child will receive a free drink and popcorn, and they will receive a free gift. The movie is open to all families with children under 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Seating will be limited to the first 1,800 people on a first-come, first-served basis. “It gives us so much joy to be able to bring smiles to the faces of children from our community during the holidays,” said Attorney Joe Quinn, a senior principal at the law firm. “It’s an annual tradition that everyone at our law firm truly enjoys.”
“Moana” is a sea voyaging teen and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators. When other island fishermen can't catch any fish and crops fail, she learns that it was because a demigod, Maui, stole the heart of the goddess, Te Fiti, and caused the blight. The only way to help her island is to persuade Maui to return Te Fiti's heart, so Moana sets off on a journey across the Pacific. She sails across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds.
