November 1st, 2019
Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn PC is pleased to announce that the Firm has been named to the 2020 US News and World Report and Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms”. Hourigan, Kluger and Quinn received a Metropolitan Tier 1 designation: Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Product Liability - Plaintiffs, and Workers’ Compensation – Claimants; and a Metropolitan Tier 2 designation, Employment Law – Management. Metropolitan Tier 1 and 2 include Northeastern Pennsylvania and Allentown Lehigh Valley.
Firms included in the 2020 “Best Law Firms” list are recognized for professional excellence with persistently impressive ratings from clients and peers. Achieving a tiered ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise. “For over 31 years, U.S. News has ranked a wide range of institutions,” says Tim Smart, executive editor of U.S. News & World Report. “Law firms are an integral part of our rankings and complement our law school rankings.” To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the United States. Over 21,000 attorneys provided almost 700,000 law firm assessments, and over 8,000 clients provided more than 47,000 evaluations. “We are proud that we have undertaken this challenging and important task so diligently and with such care that the legal profession has come to view our tens of thousands of rankings each year with widespread respect,” says Steven Naifeh, CEO and co-founder of Best Lawyers.
“As one of the founders of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn, I am honored to be part of this notable distinction and so very proud of our attorneys at the firm. Hard work, dedication, compassion, decades of experience, education and research, teamwork, preparation and exemplary skills in the courtroom contribute to the results we obtain for our clients,” says HKQ Law Attorney Joseph A. Quinn, Jr..
Receiving a tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for its abilities, its professionalism and its integrity. These are very difficult and scary times and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and symptom free. We recognize that so many of you are understandably anxious about your health, the economic impact of this pandemic and all of the consequences of social isolation.
We also recognize that many of you are anxious about how the coronavirus is impacting the Court systems, our firm and your cases.
Although all of our offices are closed, our firm has remained fully operational and we have initiated procedures that allow all of our attorneys and staff to work remotely from their homes. Each of us and our staff will respond to any emails and calls about your cases as quickly as possible.
Our Federal and State Courts have instituted significant changes in their calendars as a result of the coronavirus. Although most courthouses are closed to the public, and Hearings and Trials will be delayed for some time, there are matters that can proceed telephonically and by video. Despite these changes in the Court calendars, we are working diligently on your cases and are determined to do whatever we possibly can to assure an early and just recovery for you and your loved ones. Even under these difficult circumstances, we believe that "Nobody will work harder for you than we will."
With regard to new potential clients, we are not in a position to have an in-person new client meeting, but we will be conducting these initial meetings via phone. New potential clients should call us for a free telephone consultation at (570) 287-3000.
