Attorney Kevin C. Quinn, a principal in the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn, (HKQ Law) has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Northeastern PA Trial Lawyers Association. “I am honored, and I look forward to working with a team of my peers to help protect and improve the civil justice system in our region,” said Attorney Quinn.
The Northeastern PA Trial Lawyers Association, formerly The Committee for Justice for All, is dedicated to upholding and defending the United States and Pennsylvania Constitutions; protecting and improving the civil justice system; promoting the prompt and efficient administration of justice; protecting and enhancing the rights of consumers, workers, family members and other individuals to have a jury of their peers hear their cases and decide what is fair; improving the competency of the trial bar through educational programs and information-sharing; protecting and promoting the independence of the bar and bench; fostering public awareness and understanding of the role of the trial lawyer in the administration of justice; and providing resources, services and group benefits to its members. Attorney Joseph A. Quinn, senior principal, HKQ Law, was a founding principal of the Northeastern PA Trial Lawyers Association.
Born and raised in Scranton, Attorney Quinn is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Scranton where he was a recipient of the 1985 Political Science Award. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1988 from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Attorney Quinn has spent his entire legal career litigating cases in state and federal courts in Northeast Pennsylvania and has extensive litigation experience at both the trial and appellate levels. His practice focuses primarily on medical malpractice and personal injury litigation, protecting the rights of victims of negligence caused by others, and has served as either lead or co-counsel in multiple cases that resulted in six, seven and eight figure settlements or verdicts.
Attorney Quinn is a Certified Mediator for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and has received the Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Status – the highest possible rating by fellow attorneys and judges for both legal abilities and ethics. He is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania Courts as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. Attorney Quinn is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lackawanna County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He has been named to the Best Lawyers in America for Personal Injury Litigation and Medical Malpractice in 2018, and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the American Association for Justice, Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Northeastern PA Trial Lawyers Association.
Additionally, Attorney Quinn gives back to the communities he serves by dedicating time to community service activities throughout Northeastern PA. Attorney Quinn and his wife, Laurie reside in Clarks Summit and have 5 children.
