Anderson Named Partner at HKQ

Attorney Lars H. Anderson has been named partner in the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn, where he has worked as an associate on the firm’s Business Team since 2010. Anderson’s practice focuses on labor and employment law, and commercial litigation.

A native of the Chicago area, Anderson earned a dual bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in political science and speech communication. In 2008, he graduated cum laude from the New England School of Law, receiving his juris doctor degree. Upon graduation from law school, he and his wife moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania where he became a Judicial Law Clerk to the Lackawanna County Judge Carmen D. Minora.
In 2010, Anderson joined HKQ’s Business Team. In 2014, he was recognized by The Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal as one of its Top 20 Under 40. Since 2014, he has also been consistently recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star, an annual distinction reserved for no more than 2.5 percent of all Pennsylvania lawyers.
Anderson is active in both the Lackawanna and Luzerne County Bar Associations’ Young Lawyers Divisions (YLD), and was the Luzerne County YLD Treasurer from 2012 to 2013. He has also been active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association YLD since 2010 when he was appointed to the position of Zone 5 Co-Chair. In 2011, he was the PBA’s YLD At Large Zone Chair prior to being elected Secretary of the PBA’s YLD midterm, a position he held until he was elected Chair-Elect of the YLD in May 2013. He is also on the Executive Council of the PBA’s Labor and Employment Law Section, Chair of the PBA’s Community and Public Relations Committee, and was a member of the PBA’s Board of Governors from 2013 to 2016.
In addition, Anderson is very active in the community and was a member of the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Class of 2012-13. He is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and the Wilkes-Barre YMCA. He is also a member of the Church of Christ Uniting in Kingston where he previously served as Chair of the Personnel Committee and was a member of Parish Council. He lives in Wilkes-Barre with his wife and two children.
