Law Firm To Sponsor Free Holiday Movie at Kirby Center

The law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn will sponsor a free holiday showing of the popular animated Disney movie, “Frozen,” on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 2 p.m. Pre-movie entertainment will start at 1:30 p.m. with a children’s sing-along and a juggler.

The movie is open to all families with children under 12 years old. It is the sixth year in a row that the law firm, headquartered in Kingston with offices in Scranton, has sponsored a free holiday movie at the Kirby Center. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Seating will be limited to the first 1,800 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Everyone attending the movie will get free popcorn and choice of water or juice. Children will get a free Crayola crayon and coloring paper set.

“We have really grown to enjoy our annual holiday tradition of hosting families from our area for a free movie at the Kirby,” said Attorney Joe Quinn, a senior principal in the law firm. “It’s always heartwarming to see so many parents and grandparents enjoying some holiday cheer with their children.”

“Frozen” is a 2013 computer-animated musical fantasy-comedy inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, “The Snow Queen.” The film tells the story of a fearless princess who sets off on an epic journey alongside a rugged iceman, his loyal pet reindeer, and a hapless snowman to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.
