HKQ Law Consumer Recall Alerts - Entenmanns Little Bites - Recall 2016

September 1, 2016 - Entenmann's is voluntarily recalling cartons of Little Bites products after pieces of plastic were found in the muffins, according to the Food and Drug Administration. The varieties affected include: Little Bites Fudge Brownies five Pack, Chocolate Chip Muffins five Pack and 10 Pack, and Variety 20 Pack (which includes Fudge Brownies, Chocolate Chip Muffins, and Blueberry Muffins).

The company that produces these baked goods, Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc., says the plastic came from a manufacturing failure at a bakery in Illinois. One injury has been reported, and people are sharing photos of the plastic pieces on social media.

Entenmann's says the products were distributed to stores during the past two weeks, and you can easily spot the affected product because the Best By date on the outside of the box has a code "3098" printed next to it.

The mini muffins are being removed from store shelves, but if you've purchased one of the items in question, you should throw it away immediately, or return it to get a full refund. Entenmann's also suggests calling their customer service number if you have any questions regarding the recall.
