Purchases & sales

HKQ PA Real Estate attorneys regularly represent residential clients in the acquisition and sale of real estate throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Representation regularly includes negotiation and drafting of agreements of sale, examining and correcting title defects which may affect the client's use and occupancy of the property, and negotiating and drafting construction contracts.

Land use & development

We advise residential and commercial clients throughout the entire development process. This representation generally includes appearances before various municipal and local governmental agencies such as zoning hearing boards, planning commissions, councils, and boards of supervisors and commissioners. We regularly assist clients in obtaining zoning relief such as variances and special exceptions, as well as subdivision and land development approval.

Financing

Our firm represents residential borrowers in negotiating financial vehicles for real estate projects and purchases, including loan closings for the acquisition and development of real estate.

Leasing

HKQ PA Real Estate attorneys represent landlords and tenants of retail, office, commercial and warehouse space. Our real estate lawyers work closely with the client in drafting lease agreements and any necessary supporting documentation. Our attorneys regularly counsel landlords throughout the entire phase of the eviction process. Our attorneys also regularly represent landlords in connection with the collection of delinquent rentals and the enforcement of lease agreements.

Real estate tax assessment litigation

We represent owners of residential and commercial properties in real estate tax assessment appeals throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania, including appearances before county Boards of Assessment Appeal, as well as Courts of Common Pleas.
