Hospital settles medical malpractice suits with two families for $5M

Attorney Michelle M. Quinn, a shareholder in the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn, PC, has been re-elected to a two-year term on the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. She was re-elected at PATLA's annual convention earlier this month at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Ms. Quinn, who is the immediate past president of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, has been a member of the PATLA Board of Governors since 1999. Most recently, she served on PATLA's Ad Hoc Committee on the American Law Institute revision of the Restatement of the Law of Torts. She is past chairwoman of PATLA's New Lawyers' Section and has previously served as the chairwoman of the Long Range Planning Committee and as the regional captain of the Membership Committee. She has also served as co-chairwoman of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Committee on Multi-Jurisdictional Practice.

Ms. Quinn, who also serves on Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn's Executive Committee as a Litigation Department representative, concentrates her practice on medical malpractice, trucking litigation, defective product claims, and motor vehicle liability. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dickinson College in 1991 and received her law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 1994.
