For Immediate Release Kluger Named to Wyoming Seminary Board
Attorney Joseph E. Kluger, a principal in the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn and resident of Whitehall Township, has been named to the Board of Trustees of Wyoming Seminary, Kingston. “As a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, I'm thrilled at the opportunity to serve my alma mater,” said Attorney Kluger. “It's really an outstanding school and exceptional asset to the entire region. Serving on the board is like a homecoming for me.” Attorney Kluger is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary (Class of 1982), Hamilton College, Clinton, N.Y., and the Catholic University Columbus School of Law, Washington, D.C. As manager of the law firm's Commercial / Corporate Group in its main office in Kingston, he focuses on banking, bankruptcy, corporate, probate/trust, real estate and non-profit law. His wife, Attorney Amanda Wright Kluger, is a partner in the firm's Litigation Group, handling plaintiff's personal injury, medical malpractice and worker's compensation claims. In addition to the Wyoming seminar board, Attorney Kluger serves as Chairman of the Board of Luzerne Bank. He has also served on Mellon Bank's Advisory Board and has lectured at many legal seminars and forums on different aspects of banking law. He was named a 2007 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for creditor rights in Philadelphia Magazine's annual survey of the state's top attorneys. In addition, Attorney Kluger serves on the boards of King's College, Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business & Industry, the Luzerne Foundation, Greater Wilkes-Barre Development Corp., Innovation Center @ Wilkes-Barre, F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, United Way of Wyoming Valley and the AAA Valley Auto Club. He is a member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Estate Planning Council and, with his wife Amanda, co-chaired the 2005 Luzerne County SPCA Capital Campaign. He is a former board member of the American Cancer Society of Luzerne County, Mellon Bank, Catholic Youth Services, Leadership Wilkes-Barre Advisory Council, and the S.J. Straus B'nai B'rith Lodge. |
