Hospital settles medical malpractice suits with two families for $5M

Attorney Amanda V. Wright-Kluger has been named Principal in the Litigation Group at the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn.

Prior to being named Principal, Wright-Kluger served as an associate in the firm's Litigation Group. Since joining HKQ in 2001, she handled medical malpractice and all types of personal injury cases, including auto and tractor trailer accidents, products, slip and fall, worker's compensation and Social Security.

From 1999 to 2001, she worked for the law firm of Margolis Edelstein in Philadelphia, handling defense litigation and complex insurance coverage issues. Prior to 1999, she served in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.

A 1991 graduate of The Oakham School, Rutland, England, Wright-Kluger earned a degree in English law in 1994 from The University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom. In 1999, she earned a juris doctorate from The Dickinson School of Law.

Wright-Kluger is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Supreme Court of England & Wales, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Law Society of England & Wales, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association, Luzerne County Chamber of Commerce, and Luzerne County SPCA Board of Directors.
