Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry recently announced the appointment of Joseph E. Kluger, Esq. as a member of the Board of Directors. Kluger has been with the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn in Kingston, PA since 1989 where he is currently Practice Manager of Corporate and Commercial Practice Group with a primary focus in Banking, Bankruptcy, Corporate, Probate/Trust and Real Estate Law. He is also a solicitor for Luzerne County Community College. Kluger's previous employment includes Assistant District Attorney for Luzerne County and Instructor at the American Institute of Banking. A graduate of Hamilton College with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, Kluger went on to attain his Juris Doctor Degree from Columbus School of Law at Catholic University. Kluger's long list of professional affiliations include: Chairman of the Luzerne County Bar Association By-Laws Committee and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association, Luzerne County Bar Association, Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association, Luzerne County Bar Association Orphan's Court Practice and Rules Committee and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Kluger serves on the Board of Directors of the following community associations: the Innovation Center @ Wilkes-Barre, Mellon Bank, N.A., The Luzerne Foundation, AAA Valley Auto Club, United Way of Wyoming Valley, F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, Catholic Youth Services and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Industrial Fund for which he is also Executive Officer. He is on the King's College President's Council and member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Estate Planning Council, Leadership Wilkes-Barre Advisory Council and Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society. Kluger is married to Attorney Amanda Wright-Kluger, a personal injury and medical malpractice lawyer with Hourigan, Kluger&Quinn. They reside in Allentown, PA.
