Law association, members honored at conference

Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association president William Anzalone and vice president Michael Butera were recently presented with three county bar recognition awards at the 36 th annual seminar of the Conference of County Bar Leaders in State College. The noncompetitive awards are sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Conference of County Bar Leaders. The W-BLLA was also recognized for its donation to the Sept. 11 Fund, its Military Service Relief Project, and its Judicore Project. The Military Service Relief Project provides assistance to members of the military called to active duty as a result of the Sept. 11 attacks, and the Judicore Project sent local attorneys to New York City to help the survivors and their families. The association recently held a meeting for its newly-elected officers and members of the Executive Committee. Attending the meeting, first row, from left, are: Paula Radick, Cheryl Sobeski, William Anzalone, Joseph Burke III and Lori Nocito.
