SPCA capital campaign continues
The SPCA of Luzerne County recently recognized Sandy and Arnold Rifkin and Marion and Richard Pearsall for their generous support in providing the lead donations that made it possible to launch the "Paws to Help" Capital Campaign. The SPCA has raised $350,000 towards the total $650,000 campaign goal. The planned addition and renovation project to the 47-year-old structure will provide a new receiving area, grooming area, 30 run indoor/outdoor kennel area, cat room, isolation areas, as well as updated ventilation, heating, drainage and sound control. The new kennel wing will be named in honor of the Rifkins and Pearsalls. The campaign will run through February. Contributions may be made to "Paws to Help" by calling 970-SPCA (7722) or logging on to www.pawstohelp.org. |
